Earrings

Terracotta earrings made to be worn on their own, not just as the second half of a necklace set.

Studs sit flat against the ear and suit work and travel. Hooks hang and move, and the ones finished with brass ball drops read closer to temple jewellery. Shapes run from plain squares and discs to lotus motifs, cones and hung leaves.

All are hand-shaped from Cauvery basin clay without moulds, sun-dried, kiln-fired for eight hours, then painted and sealed matte by hand. Light enough to wear all day — this is where terracotta has the clearest advantage over metal, because weight on the ear is what makes earrings uncomfortable by evening.

If you are choosing for your face shape: longer drops lengthen a round face, wider shapes balance a long one, and rounded forms soften a square jaw. More on that here.

About this collection

Studs or hooks?

Studs sit flat against the ear and disappear under a saree pallu — the pair you forget you are wearing. Hooks add a small drop and a little movement, which reads dressier without going near jhumka scale. Both are hand-painted terracotta, so they weigh almost nothing and carry no plating to wear through.
