Studs and hooks
Hand-painted terracotta studs and hooks, made in our Muthanampalayam workshop near Tiruppur. The smallest things we make, and the ones that get worn most.
Same clay and same eight-hour firing as the bridal sets, in a scale you can put on for work or a weekday function. Every pair weighs under ten grams, and the colour is fired into the clay rather than painted over it, so it will not thin at the edges with wear.
No nickel, no lead, no plating. The ear fitting varies by pair — message us on WhatsApp if metal sensitivity is a concern and we will tell you exactly what is on the one you are looking at.
Studs or hooks?
Studs sit flat against the ear and disappear under a saree pallu — the pair you forget you are wearing. Hooks add a small drop and a little movement, which reads dressier without going near jhumka scale. Both are hand-painted terracotta, so they weigh almost nothing and carry no plating to wear through.
