Green needs a longer, steadier firing to hold its tone, so fewer of these leave the kiln than the warmer colours.
Hand-rolled, featherlight
Rich green domes segmented in gold lines with kemp-cut windows, hung from carved deity studs in antique gold, ending in a fringe of gold beads.
Each dome is hollowed by hand so the pair stays light despite the size; the deity studs are sculpted freehand, fired eight hours, and finished in aged gold.
Temple presence at earring scale — wear them alone with a plain saree and they carry the whole look. No nickel, no lead, no plating.
Wears well with: green, mustard and off-white silk. Care: perfume first, dry cloth only, store in the pouch.
- Sold as a pair
- Kemp-stone work with hand-painted gold detail
- Comes in a cotton pouch and gift box
Looking after terracotta
Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth after wearing. Keep away from water, perfume and hairspray. Store each piece in its own pouch or box so painted surfaces do not rub. Terracotta is fired clay — it is sturdy in daily wear but will not survive a hard drop on stone floors.
Delivery and returns
Ready-to-ship pieces leave us within 2–4 days and arrive in 5–7 days across India. Made-to-order custom sets take about four weeks from confirmation. International orders add 7–14 days. Damaged-in-transit pieces are replaced free — send us an unboxing photo within 48 hours.
Six days, start to finish
Natural river clay is wedged by hand and shaped without moulds, sun-dried for two days, then kiln-fired at high heat for 8 hours. Non-toxic acrylic and metallic paints are applied by hand and kemp stones are set one at a time. No two pieces are identical.
