Hand-rolled, featherlight
A hand-cut lotus stud shaded from yellow through orange to deep red, a gold bead below it, and a pierced dome that moves green to yellow to red before ending in a fringe of gold bells.
Thamarai means lotus, and the whole pair is built around that bloom — the dome's colour bands carry the flower's gradient right down to the rim.
Hand-shaped without moulds, sun-dried, kiln-fired, then painted band by band and sealed by hand. The cut-work dome keeps it hollow and light.
Wears well with: yellow, green and red silk — a natural pick for festive and temple wear.
Care: put them on after perfume. Dry cloth only, never water, and store wrapped in the pouch.
- Sold as a pair
- Hand-painted gold detail
- Comes in a cotton pouch and gift box
Looking after terracotta
Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth after wearing. Keep away from water, perfume and hairspray. Store each piece in its own pouch or box so painted surfaces do not rub. Terracotta is fired clay — it is sturdy in daily wear but will not survive a hard drop on stone floors.
Delivery and returns
Ready-to-ship pieces leave us within 2–4 days and arrive in 5–7 days across India. Made-to-order custom sets take about four weeks from confirmation. International orders add 7–14 days. Damaged-in-transit pieces are replaced free — send us an unboxing photo within 48 hours.
Six days, start to finish
Natural river clay is wedged by hand and shaped without moulds, sun-dried for two days, then kiln-fired at high heat for 8 hours. Non-toxic acrylic and metallic paints are applied by hand and kemp stones are set one at a time. No two pieces are identical.
