A temple set, made light
The Nila set pairs a red and gold terracotta haaram with matching jhumkas, built around a hand-shaped centrepiece. The red is mixed into the clay before firing rather than painted on top, so it holds its depth instead of fading at the edges over time.
Terracotta jewellery throughout — clay, colour and paint, with no stones set into it.
Each bead is rolled individually in our Salem workshop, sun-dried for two days, then kiln-fired for eight hours. Gold detailing is applied by hand afterwards and sealed. Because nothing is moulded in bulk, small differences in bead size and tone are normal.
It hangs on an adjustable cotton dori, so the same set works at choker length or lower on the chest. Light enough to keep on through a wedding and a reception without your neck aching.
Wears well with: red, maroon and cream silk. A safe choice for a bride's sister or a close family guest.
Care: put it on last, after perfume. Wipe with a dry cloth only — never water. Store wrapped in the cotton pouch it arrives in.

Looking after terracotta
Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth after wearing. Keep away from water, perfume and hairspray. Store each piece in its own pouch or box so painted surfaces do not rub. Terracotta is fired clay — it is sturdy in daily wear but will not survive a hard drop on stone floors.
Delivery and returns
Ready-to-ship pieces leave us within 2–4 days and arrive in 5–7 days across India. Made-to-order custom sets take about four weeks from confirmation. International orders add 7–14 days. Damaged-in-transit pieces are replaced free — send us an unboxing photo within 48 hours.
Six days, start to finish
Natural river clay is wedged by hand and shaped without moulds, sun-dried for two days, then kiln-fired at high heat for 8 hours. Non-toxic acrylic and metallic paints are applied by hand and kemp stones are set one at a time. No two pieces are identical.
