A temple set, made light
Anjali is our antique gold set — the closest terracotta comes to temple jewellery. The gold is deliberately muted and slightly aged rather than bright metallic, so it sits alongside heavy zari without competing with it.
Shaped by hand from Cauvery basin clay, sun-dried, kiln-fired, then painted in layers to build the aged finish. Terracotta jewellery throughout — clay, colour and paint, with no stones. Sealed matte, not glossy.
This is the set to choose if you want something that reads as traditional in photographs but weighs a fraction of real temple jewellery.
Wears well with: Kanjivaram and heavy silk, particularly in maroon, bottle green and mustard.
Care: wear it last, wipe dry, store wrapped. Keep out of direct sunlight — it dulls the gold over time.
- Necklace and matching earrings included
- Hand-painted gold detail
- Adjustable cotton dori, fits 14″–26″
- Comes in a cotton pouch and gift box
Looking after terracotta
Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth after wearing. Keep away from water, perfume and hairspray. Store each piece in its own pouch or box so painted surfaces do not rub. Terracotta is fired clay — it is sturdy in daily wear but will not survive a hard drop on stone floors.
Delivery and returns
Ready-to-ship pieces leave us within 2–4 days and arrive in 5–7 days across India. Made-to-order custom sets take about four weeks from confirmation. International orders add 7–14 days. Damaged-in-transit pieces are replaced free — send us an unboxing photo within 48 hours.
Six days, start to finish
Natural river clay is wedged by hand and shaped without moulds, sun-dried for two days, then kiln-fired at high heat for 8 hours. Non-toxic acrylic and metallic paints are applied by hand and kemp stones are set one at a time. No two pieces are identical.
