Blue is one of the harder colours to fire evenly, so runs are short and the next batch will differ slightly.
A choker with presence, made light
Akshaya is a blue and gold choker. Because it sits at the collarbone rather than falling over the chest, it suits a high-necked blouse and photographs well without competing with a heavy pallu.
Blue is one of the harder colours to fire evenly in terracotta, so these come in smaller batches than the reds and pinks. Hand-rolled, sun-dried, kiln-fired for eight hours, then painted and sealed by hand. Terracotta jewellery throughout — clay, colour and paint, with no stones.
Wears well with: cream, gold and off-white silk. Also holds against mustard.
Care: dry cloth only, no water. Store wrapped, away from direct sunlight.
- Choker and matching earrings included
- Hand-painted gold detail
- Adjustable cotton dori, fits 14″–26″
- Comes in a cotton pouch and gift box
Looking after terracotta
Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth after wearing. Keep away from water, perfume and hairspray. Store each piece in its own pouch or box so painted surfaces do not rub. Terracotta is fired clay — it is sturdy in daily wear but will not survive a hard drop on stone floors.

Six days, start to finish
Natural river clay is wedged by hand and shaped without moulds, sun-dried for two days, then kiln-fired at high heat for 8 hours. Non-toxic acrylic and metallic paints are applied by hand and kemp stones are set one at a time. No two pieces are identical.
