Blue is one of the harder colours to fire evenly, so runs are short and the next batch will differ slightly.
A temple set, made light
Aksha pairs a red and gold haaram with matching jhumkas, finished in a slightly warmer red than our Nila set — closer to brick than to crimson.
Clay is wedged and rolled without moulds, dried in shade for two days and then in sun, and fired for eight hours. Gold detail is applied by hand and sealed. Terracotta jewellery throughout — clay, colour and paint, with no stones. No nickel, lead or plating anywhere.
Light enough to keep on through a full function, which is the point of terracotta over metal.
Wears well with: cream, gold and off-white silk, where the red carries the whole look.
Care: no water, no perfume, no damp cupboards. Dry cloth and a cotton pouch.
- Necklace and matching earrings included
- Hand-painted gold detail
- Adjustable cotton dori, fits 14″–26″
- Comes in a cotton pouch and gift box
Looking after terracotta
Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth after wearing. Keep away from water, perfume and hairspray. Store each piece in its own pouch or box so painted surfaces do not rub. Terracotta is fired clay — it is sturdy in daily wear but will not survive a hard drop on stone floors.
Delivery and returns
Ready-to-ship pieces leave us within 2–4 days and arrive in 5–7 days across India. Made-to-order custom sets take about four weeks from confirmation. International orders add 7–14 days. Damaged-in-transit pieces are replaced free — send us an unboxing photo within 48 hours.
Six days, start to finish
Natural river clay is wedged by hand and shaped without moulds, sun-dried for two days, then kiln-fired at high heat for 8 hours. Non-toxic acrylic and metallic paints are applied by hand and kemp stones are set one at a time. No two pieces are identical.
