Green needs a longer, steadier firing to hold its tone, so fewer of these leave the kiln than the warmer colours.
Hand-rolled, featherlight
A gold disc stud with a rani-pink centre ringed by green beads, over a deeply ribbed antique gold dome edged in beadwork, with a skirt of green beads at the rim.
It reads like temple jewellery from a distance — all that carved gold texture — but the pink-and-green stud gives it away as something more playful up close.
Hand-shaped without moulds, sun-dried, kiln-fired, then finished in antique gold and sealed by hand. Hollow clay, so it wears far lighter than it looks.
Wears well with: green and gold silk, kanjivaram borders, and rani pink for the full contrast.
Care: put them on after perfume. Dry cloth only, never water, and store wrapped in the pouch.
- Sold as a pair
- Hand-painted gold detail
- Comes in a cotton pouch and gift box
Looking after terracotta
Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth after wearing. Keep away from water, perfume and hairspray. Store each piece in its own pouch or box so painted surfaces do not rub. Terracotta is fired clay — it is sturdy in daily wear but will not survive a hard drop on stone floors.
Delivery and returns
Ready-to-ship pieces leave us within 2–4 days and arrive in 5–7 days across India. Made-to-order custom sets take about four weeks from confirmation. International orders add 7–14 days. Damaged-in-transit pieces are replaced free — send us an unboxing photo within 48 hours.
Six days, start to finish
Natural river clay is wedged by hand and shaped without moulds, sun-dried for two days, then kiln-fired at high heat for 8 hours. Non-toxic acrylic and metallic paints are applied by hand and kemp stones are set one at a time. No two pieces are identical.
