5,000 years of craft,
reimagined for today
The story behind Indus Terracotta — our passion, our artisans, our mission.

Born from a love of ancient India
It started with a visit to the Harappan galleries of the National Museum in Delhi. The terracotta figurines — 5,000 years old yet breathtakingly modern — told us something profound: Indian artisans have always created with extraordinary beauty and skill.
Indus Terracotta was founded with a single mission: to bring that ancient craft tradition back into everyday modern life. Not as museum pieces, but as living, wearable art — jewellery you can wear to work, to weddings, to the market.
Today, we work directly with 40+ women artisans across three villages in Rajasthan — many of whom are the fourth or fifth generation in their families to work with clay.
Meet the artisans
Every piece is made by hand by these remarkable women. When you buy from Indus Terracotta, you directly support their livelihoods.
Wear a piece of history
Every Indus Terracotta piece you wear is a small act of cultural preservation — and a vote for fair wages, eco-friendly production, and timeless craft.
